Description
An Alfa Romeo transaxle is a specialized drivetrain component designed for rear-wheel-drive vehicles where the clutch, manual transmission, and differential are combined into a single rear-mounted unit, rather than bolted directly to the engine up front. Originally derived from Alfa Romeo's formula racing developments, this layout was mass-produced to radically improve vehicle handling.
De Dion Rear Suspension: Paired with a rigid De Dion tube and a Watt's linkage to keep the rear wheels perfectly parallel during heavy cornering.
